Thinking of Temping?

Smart move. It’s a great way of getting a lot of experience quickly. Or if you’re looking for a permanent hire, it’s a great way of getting your foot in the door.

Myths Debunked

Myth: Job security is low
Fact: Temps are always in demand – if a contract ends with one employer, you’ll quickly find yourself in a new role. Often, people who hire you as a temp will keep you on once your contract ends.

Myth: You can be kept on a fixed term contract for years
Fact: If an employer hires you with fixed term contracts, after 4 years of employment they must legally offer you a permanent contract.

Myth: Your CV looks insubstantial
Fact: The CVs of temporary workers are some of the best. You gain a broader range of skills within a shorter space of time. All because you’re getting to perform more roles, at more companies, within more sectors.

Why Temp?

Temping is a great way of building your CV and getting a lot of experience within a short space of time.

Your Rights

It’s important to remember that as a temporary worker, you still have rights. You’re entitled to statutory sick pay, holiday pay and regular pay. You’re also entitled to the same working conditions as permanent staff.

Rather have a permanent role?

Temping is a great way to get your foot in the door. A lot of employers who hire temps actually want a permanent employee, they just want to test the waters with a temp first.

Don’t be surprised if you are offered a permanent contract after temping.

Here’s a testimonial from just one of our temps:

Liam
“Here’s my last timesheet for you, because as you know I’m now a permanent worker!
I would like to say a huge thank you for all your help and support in finding me prospective new jobs. It really was greatly appreciated.
I wish you and the team all the very best for the future, and once again THANK YOU!”
