Job Title: Assistant Buyer/Administrator

Contract: Fixed term 12-month contract

Location: Northampton

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday – Working from home options available

Salary: £22000 – £26000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Buyer / Administrator to support a very successful and growing business. The ideal candidate will be efficient, organised, and a friendly person, who is interested in developing and learning a role that provides a support function to the buying team.

This role is a fixed term maternity contract for 12 months.

You will be in a busy role, liaising with suppliers and site and sales staff. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and confident in communicating on the phone and via email to ensure tasks are followed through to completion.

Duties include:

• Placing of materials and plant purchases via COINS
• Managing weekly reports
• Liaising with site managers
• Liaising with supply chains
• Assisting with invoice queries
• General ad hoc administration
• Place of purchase orders for sale upgrades and confirming customer orders

Key skills required:

• Previous experience of COINS would be advantageous but not essential
• Strong IT skills with solid experience of MS Excel
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly accurate with good attention to detail
• A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
