Job Title: Events Coordinator

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time Monday – Friday plus Match days throughout the calendar year

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Benefits: Free parking, pension contribution and 22 holiday days plus bank holidays

Location: Solihull


An opportunity has arisen to work within the sporting industry as an Events Coordinator. We are exclusively recruiting for this exciting role which would appeal to a candidate with a keen interest in sport and events.

With responsibility for the day to day running of all the events across the calendar year, you will organise and attend the events ensuring that they are running smoothly and planned correctly throughout the year.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with the daily management of the events program
  • Manage all client presidential suits and all external hospitality bookings
  • Provide administration support to the commercial department
  • Managing ticketing and booking systems inclusive of payment processes
  • Managing the event requirements and liaising with suppliers
  • Organising and prioritsing sponsorship members
  • Book venues and catering in line with allocated budgets
  • Liaise with the marketing department day to day for event itinerary
  • Ensure the event schedule is managed and aligned with strategic priorities
  • Assist in development and delivery of a PR strategy to maximize event take-up, media coverage, impact and feedback
  • Assist the marketing department in development of website and social media platforms
  • Work as part of the Communications team, ensuring that appropriate material is available at all events

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • The successful candidate will have experience of working in an events management role
  • Extensive event and commercial management experience will be beneficial, as will qualifications within event management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience of writing for web, press and PR will be beneficial
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in using in house systems and Microsoft packages
  • Keen eye for detail
