Job Title: International Logistics Co-ordinator
Salary:£25,000 – £30,000
Location:Near Solihull, West Midlands
Working for a forward-thinking communications and events agency, we are looking for a candidate who can plan and manage time-critical logistics solutions throughout Europe and worldwide, operating within strict time constraints ensuring that all schedules and deadlines are met.
Working with a high-profile global client base, this is an interesting yet challenging role that requires someone who has excellent logistics, co-ordination and communication skills.
*Co-ordinate the import and export of products worldwide within set time frames, ensuring all relevant paperwork and documentation are up to date and provided.
*Place purchase orders for optimal quantities from the point of transportation loads and inventory level.
*Arrange and confirm freight bookings with forwarders.
*Monitor production and delivery progress for placed orders.
*Follow shipments and prepare necessary documentation.
*Manage inventories according to the service expectations and stock management targets.
*Maintain up-to-date purchasing information in the company’s databases.
*Communicate effectively with other internal departments.
Key Skills/Experience required:
*High level of numeracy and computer literacy.
*Supply Chain Planner and Logistics experience.
*Previous experience within import/exports.
*Advanced analytical skills.
*Ability to work under pressure in the rapidly changing environment.
*Good time management skills.
*Preferably worked with Carnet package.
*Advanced Microsoft IT skills.
