Temporary Division
The Temporary division is led by Bonny Parkes and is a subsidiary of our permanent Commercial Division. We recruit temporary workers for a variety of roles including Office Administrators, PA/Office Managers, Receptionists, Senior Administrators, Secretaries, Legal Secretaries and many more. We match our candidates to the specific requirements of the assignment, resulting in a positive outcome, every time.
Why have temps?
Temporary workers can add real value to your business. That’s the message from a recent REC survey of the industry. Here at Tirebuck we have always maintained that temps can provide an experienced tonic for all your HR headaches, matching staff levels to peak demands and providing short term cover whilst staff are on holiday, maternity or sick leave.
Reason 1 68% of those who employ temporary staff have appointed at least one temporary employee to a permanent position in the past 3 years. Employers are quick to identify the positive benefits of such seamless transitions.
Reason 2 Using temporary staff gives you seasonal flexibility. Particularly for finance and HR departments’ temporary employees can be a vital lifeline during the hectic approach to year end, or the graduate recruitment season. This allows staff levels to reflect increase demand, without leaving wasted capacity for the rest of the year.
Reason 3 With some extremely senior and experienced individuals now choosing to ‘temp’ as a lifestyle choice, their potential contribution undoubtedly surpasses basic admin roles.
Reason 4 For employers who have concerns about office morale, drafting in talented temporaries can have a knock on effect, with their presence and contribution acting as an incentive for permanent staff.
Reason 5 In larger organisations and certainly with many of our blue chip clients, during periods of permanent headcount freezes temporary staff can relieve the workload of stressed out permanent employees, without exceeding departmental budgets.
Reason 6 Converting fixed-term contractors to an agency timesheet basis works for many organisations, because temporary workers hired through an employment agency, such as Tirebuck are exempt from recent legislation. They may work on your premises but they hand in time sheets to us - and are therefore not deemed to have a contract directly with you 'the employer'. This avoids much of the red tape, and can result in a better working arrangement for both the client and temp.
