Identification Requirements For Candidates

Before we can begin working on finding you your perfect job, we need to know that you are eligible to work in the UK. The type of ID required depends upon your national status.

All documents must be originals, and will be returned immediately after they’re checked. All information is held in strict confidence and in line with data protection legislation.

Please be aware that Tirebuck Recruitment Ltd takes its responsibility to uphold recruitment standards very seriously.

Therefore we operate these rules stringently, so no exceptions will be made for missing, photocopied, out-of-date or dubious documentation.

British Citizens

All British candidates registering with Tirebuck Recruitment are required to produce the following original documentation:

The easiest and most comprehensive form of ID to bring is a valid British passport, asĀ it counts as both items.

However, if for some reason you cannot produce a valid British passport, we will also accept the following combination of documents:

1. Valid photographic Identification

2. Proof of Eligibiltiy to work in the UK

Citizens of the European Economic Area

This section applies to citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA) countries. This includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. Although not strictly within the EEA, citizens of Switzerland are treated in the same way as other EEA nationals.

Citizens of these countries do not need express permission to work in the UK and therefore are not required to produce any special documentation. However we do require the same standard as applied to British Citizens. Therefore we insist upon candidates producing a valid passport from an EEA nation.

Citizens of A8 Countries, and Romania and Bulgaria

The following countries known as the A8, are those countries in Eastern Europe who have recently joined the EU and are not yet members of the EEA. This includes: Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. Citizens of these countries are required to obtain permission in the form of a work permit issued by Work Permits UK. Once granted permission the candidate must bring the documentation and a valid passport to register with Tirebuck Recruitment.

Romanian and Bulgarian citizens have the right to reside in the UK, however they must obtain permission before they can work. Therefore we require such permission and a valid passport before registration can take place.
