Confidentiality

You must choose a reputable recruitment company to ensure your CV is not shared without your consent.

A crucial issue

The confidentiality of CVs is a crucial issue for anyone involved in finding a job, especially if you’re already in employment. The last thing you want is for your current employer stumbling across your CV.

Your CV will be kept confidential and won’t be shared with employers unless you have given your consent.

Potential for CV misuse

Some job boards hold around 2 million individual CVs at any one time, and with such vast amounts of personal data, there is always a threat of potential misuse. We are registered with the ICO under the data protection act so you can be sure your information is safe with us.

Searchable profile

If you have selected, for example, a ‘searchable’ profile on a job board, any agency, employer, head hunter or HR professional who has paid to be able to access the site can see your profile and CV.

Once they have access to this data it is very hard to control what they do with it.

Certain job boards will deny liability for this in their small print. They expressly state that if those who have paid for access to your CV have retained a copy of it in their own files or databases, they are not responsible for the privacy or use of CVs in these instances.

Remember to remove your CV from job boards when you no longer require their services.
