CV Duplication

Do you know who is entitled to the fee if the same candidate’s details are sent to you by two different recruitment consultancies?
If not, we invite you to read on...
It is your choice...
If you receive the same CV from more than one consultancy it is your choice which one you choose to enter a trading agreement with.
You do not have to work with the consultancy which sent the CV to you first.
When some companies advertise a role and become aware that they have received a CV from a number of different parties for a job vacancy,
they let all of them know who they have received it from.
Ask the candidate...
They then don’t proceed with any introduction until they have written confirmation from the candidate about who they would like to represent them.
If you choose to use this policy you will have a clearer idea about which consultancy provides a quality service,
develops good relationships and could help to enhance your reputation among candidates.
Formally accept or reject offer to trade...
You should also give each consultancy a formal indication whether you would like to work with them and accept or
reject their offer to enter a trading agreement. This will avoid any further confusion about which consultancy is entitled to fees.
Choose an REC accredited consultancy...
If you choose an REC accredited recruitment consultancy to work with you, they will generally take more time to gain a real
understanding of the way you work and supply candidates who are well informed about your company and offer the skills and experience you require.
