Respect for Diversity and Equal Opportunities

We are a signatory to the REC Diversity Pledge at www.rec.uk.com/diversity and adhere to all the principles detailed in the REC’s Code of Practice which is outlined in the About Us section of this website.

Principle 4 covers respect for diversity and states that all ‘members should adhere to the spirit of all applicable human rights, employment laws and regulations and will treat work seekers, clients and others without prejudice or unjustified discrimination.’

Tirebuck Recruitment monitors the ethnicity and gender of candidates anonymously to ensure that equal opportunity is a reality. We review on an on-going basis all aspects of recruitment to avoid unlawful or undesirable discrimination.

We treat everyone equally irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, gender assignment, marital or civil partnership status, age, disability, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, political beliefs or membership or non-membership of a Trade Union or spent convictions, and we place an obligation upon all staff to respect and act in accordance with the policy.

We do not discriminate unlawfully when deciding which candidates/temporary worker is submitted for a vacancy or assignment, or in any terms of employment or engagement for temporary workers. We ensure that each candidate is assessed only in accordance with the candidate’s merits, qualifications and abilities to perform the relevant duties required by the particular vacancy.
